On Monday, April 8, St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake celebrated its 60th anniversary of serving the community’s health care needs. The anniversary event began with a Mass celebrated in the hospital chapel by Bishop of the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie Marcel Damphousse and Father Tony Man-Son-hing, of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. They were joined by former St. Joseph’s General Hospital CEO Sister Sarah Quakenbush, of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste.
