After six years as President & CEO of Catholic Health Sponsors of Ontario (CHSO), John Ruetz will be leaving us on June 30, 2020 to become President & CEO of the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada (CHAC). We congratulate John on this opportunity and are pleased that he will continue providing leadership to advance strong unified Catholic health care.
As sponsor to 21 Catholic health care organizations, CHSO strengthened core operations during John’s tenure by establishing a new sponsorship model, developing deeper relationships with our sponsored organizations, Bishops, and community partners, designing and implementing a new curriculum for the CHSO Mission Leadership Program, and founding the Catholic Congregational Legacy Charity. We are proud of what has been accomplished and look forward to continuing our mission in the years to come.
CHAC and CHSO believe that collaborative relationships and shared capacity models can help advance our Catholic health mission. With that in mind, CHAC and CHSO have agreed that John will do some focused project work to support CHSO initiatives that have the potential for national impact, with opportunities for involvement from other sponsors, sponsored organizations, or community partners.
CHSO thanks John for his service and leadership to advance the Catholic health care ministry, and wishes him well in his new role with CHAC.
CHSO will immediately begin recruiting an experienced executive leader. We are committed to an orderly transition process and will be seeking your advice and support as this process unfolds.
